Viewing framework logs

The Web Console is a developer tool and must not be used in production.

While the OSGi framework implementation functions it generates logs, about the events and errors that occurred. Refer to the Framework Log document for more information about this feature of the framework. Logs are maintained by the Log Service provided with the Log Bundle.

To monitor the log entries through the Web Console, click the Log Service tab.

Log entries are displayed with the following attributes:

• Received - Indicates the moment of creation of the log message.
• Level - Shows the severity level of the log entry. There are four types of severity levels: ERROR, WARNING, INFO and DEBUG.
• Message - Indicates the message body of the log entry.
• Service - Contains the service that posted the log message.
• Bundle - Indicates the bundle that logged information about its runtime behavior.
• Exception - Holds the exception that occurred, if any.

You can view desired log entries by using their log level as a filtering criterion. Select a log level from the Severity at least drop-down list. Use the Reload button to update the log entries.
