Runtime Requirements
Getting the Z/IP Gateway
To download the Z/IP Gateway application sources or precompiled binaries, please refer to the Silabs portal. Currently Silbas provides different SDKs, including the Z-Wave one, within their development framework - Simplicity Studio.
Bosch IoT Gateway Software 10.0.0 is tested over Z/IP Gateway version 7.13.01 and is not fully compatible with previous releases.
Troubleshooting
Make sure the daemon is up and running on your system:
$ ps aux | grep zipgateway
or
$ sudo /etc/init.d/zipgateway status
Note: Because of various network configuration changes, its strongly recommended that the system is rebooted after Z/IP Gateway installation.
Please ensure that the tap0 interface representing the Z-Wave network as an IP stack is active:
$ ifconfig tap0
Lists the current network interface information. The command may vary depending on the Linux distribution. SIlabs have provided a detailed troubleshooting guide, if the there are any issues during installation or start.
Configuring the Z/IP Gateway
The Z/IP Gateway application is configurable. By default, the configuration file is /usr/local/etc/zipgateway.cfg
