Things are very generic entities and can be used as a “handle” for multiple features belonging to this thing. With the local Things REST API, which also uses Thing entity, known as digital twin, you can cluster multiple Features and manage the access to the data and functionality the thing represents. A thing may have additional meta data (Attributes) that describes the thing in more detail.
The local Things REST API is based on JSON, REST-like HTTP API 2 of the Bosch IoT Things service. For details refer to Bosch IoT Things documentation.
Getting a Thing or a Feature
If you want to get some thing or feature you should know their ids.
If you are not sure about the ids, it is recommended to execute the search operation via the Things-Search endpoint.
