Each of the protocol drivers has a bundle that contains a protocol-specific implementation of the HDM API, called a Protocol Adapter.

The protocol adapter is the component that links the protocol driver to the Home Device Manager.

It is composed of the following:

• Protocol-specific implementations of the methods for retrieving Home Devices and for adding them (automatically or manually) in the HDM module.
• Protocol-specific implementations of the Device Class Objects that are supported by the protocol.
