Viewing users

The Web Console is a developer tool and must not be used in production.

Through the OSGi tab >Users option of the Web Console, you can view and manage groups, users and their roles.

To the right side of the tree configuration there are instructions for managing roles, properties, credentials:

Select a role on the left side to open it and edit its properties and credentials
You can drag groups, roles and users in the tree to arrange them and declare membership
While dragging, hold Ctrl button to copy, instead of move
To remove a role from a group – drag it to the root node
The roles which are in italic are 'required' members of the current group
To change the membership, select the role and use 'Toggle Membership' button.

The Users plugin does not support yet the newly implemented hash algorithm. Thus if you want to use the plugin for changing "password" credentials, this is possible only if you know the hashed value and use "String" as value in the combo-box for the Type. Passing the password as a plain text will break the login functionality.

Another way to create credentials is from one of the supported types and after the next login the "password" credentials will be updated with its value:
