Registering and pairing devices serves the purpose to indicate that a device should be controlled by the Smart Home Controller. Two options for registering and pairing devices exist.

Pairing DCO within the virtual Home Connect controller device

There is already a virtual Home Connect controller device that holds device class object for authorization against the Home Connect cloud.

This controller device is extended with a new device class object that provide the following funtionalities:

• property for a list of appliances coming from the Home Connect Cloud. The information about each appliance will include all fields received from the cloud - homeApplianceId (haId), vib, brand, type, name, enumber, connected state.
• operations pair/register (String haId) and unpair/unregister (String haId).
