Module Description

The History module provides means for tracking the history of different system resources.

The system can be configured to search and request the history of specific important resources. These resources may represent a wide gama of data like sensor reports, diagnostic info etc. History entries can be added and removed in the History Admin. An already made configuration can be directly updated in the HistoryConfigAdmin. These actions can be performed only to a user with the appropriate permissions.

Feature Set

The module provides the following features and functionalities:

Tracking, adding and removing data entries.
Gathering and removal of history entries by a data query.
Support of Functional Items data of primary metadata types.
Management of history configurations, used by the History Producers for specifying the content of automatically added history entries.

There are no known issues for this module.

Module Dependencies

The module has dependencies on the following:

Framework: The OSGi Runtime is required for the module to operate.
Functional Items Management (FIM): Every history entry is represented as a FunctionalItemObject - a data type defined in the Functional Item Management module.
Database: The Database module is required for SQLite support.
