Prerequisites

The Web Admin Console is a web-based application for administering the various components of the Bosch IoT Gateway Software.

• To manage the Automation module through Web Admin Console install the Web Admin Console and also the Automation Web Admin kitman script, which contains all the bundles required:

  kitman.i "Automation Web Admin"

• To access the Web Admin Console – after it has been successfully installed, you can access it through your Web browser by typing the following URL for a plain connection: http://<host>:<port>/system/console , where<host> is the host where your Runtime is running and <port> is the port of the Runtime's HTTP bundle (default is 80). Automation Web Admin Console Interface

To access the Automation view in the Web Admin Console go to the IoT tab and select Automation:

There are three tabs available in the Automation Web Console – Rules, Templates and Handlers. They allow:

• Rules to be added, removed, updated, enabled/disabled or run.
• Templates to be added, updated or removed.
• Handlers to be viewed.

Each list of rules, handlers or templates, is featured in a sortable table, and its elements can be filtered.

        If a handler is missing for a given Rule or Template, it is possible to view or edit the instructions data, according to which the handler will execute the rule:
                •    The instructions that come from the missing handlers are marked.
                •    The bindings in them are edited as plain strings, since there is no metadata provided.

If an element is provided to the system via a file or bundle, it can be updated or removed only when the file/bundle is updated or uninstalled.
