Follow the general steps for discovering and connecting BLE devices.

After successfully connecting a BCDS SCD device, a new device item ShortTermExperiment will be registered.

The ShortTermExperiment functional item contains reference to the control and monitoring of the sensors.

Properties

The ShortTermExperiment functional item has two properties: Configuration and Results.

The Configuration property holds following control data:

• Flags to enable/disable device sensors: lightSensorEnabled, temperatureSensorEnabled, accelerometerSensorEnabled, magnetometerSensorEnabled
• Setting sensor threshold: temperatureLowThreshold, temperatureHighThreshold, illuminanceLowThreshold, illuminanceHighThreshold, accelerationThreshold, magneticFieldStrengthThreshold
• Sensor rates: accelerometerSensorOdr, lightSensorOdr
• Tune writing to flash when logging data: accelerationToFlashEnabled, illuminanceToFlashEnabled, temperatureToFlashEnabled, magneticFieldStrengthToFlashEnabled
• Other: unixTime, freeBytesInSerialFlash

Before setting configuration property stop ShortTermExperiment execution via ScdSettings sendGenericCommand, then it can be started again to send sensor data.

The results property contains sensor data, which is received when STE is started and proper configuration via configuration property has been done.

The rollingCounter field is updated upon every sensor event and can be used to estimate if STE is currently working.
